Despite showing significant differences during the night's discussions on immigration, banking regulation and foreign policy, the president of Americans for Tax Reform, Grover Norquist, told Newsmax TV Tuesday night that there's one topic in which Republican candidates at the fourth GOP debate all agreed on: tax reform.

"The good news for Republicans in the country is that Trump is right, that each of these plans are better than what Hillary is talking about," Norquist told J.D. Hayworth on the "NewsmaxTV Debate Special" in an interview.

Norquist emphasized that each candidate's plans are "very close to each other" and "all dramatically reduce business taxes and individual rates."

"They all move towards the single rated flat tax, they all get rid of the death tax, they all do full expensing for business investment," Norquist said. "If you made a list of the sort of five or seven major reforms that you need, there is an agreement among all the Republican candidates that have put forward their plans in going in the same direction and that's so different from what the Democrats had in 1992 or 2008 when Clinton and then Obama got elected, saying, let's reform healthcare."

Norquist also took to Twitter reiterating his statement: Related Stories:
