Democrats have attempted to put "due process on death row," along with Donald Trump's presidency for alleged "abuse of power," but their impeachment case is debunked by a "valid" defense of presidential authority, according Bill O'Reilly on Newsmax TV.
"There is a law that we're not supposed to give aid to a foreign country that's dishonest and misusing the aid," O'Reilly told Monday's "The Wayne Allyn Root Show."
"You can debate whether Ukraine is misusing or whatever, but, look, this comes down to the Trump people, and administration, have a defense that's valid – a valid defense for what the president did with Ukraine."
O'Reilly points back to the U.S. justice system predicated on innocent until proven guilty, the latter of which falls short when you weigh constitutional power endowed to the U.S. president.
"So, in our system, if you are defending yourself against accusations and the defense is valid you're acquitted, which he will be in the Senate," O'Reilly said. "So, I don't think there's anybody disputing that analysis.
"You may think Trump's guilty of whatever, but he has a defense. And it's a valid defense."
