President Donald Trump needs a major policy victory on Capitol Hill to pull out of abyss of the mushrooming Russia scandal, veteran political commentator Michael Reagan, the son of President Ronald Reagan, told Newsmax TV.
"He needs a big win, whether it's tax reform, healthcare, whatever it might be," Reagan told host Bill Tucker on Wednesday's "America Talks Live." "He needs a big win at this point to get Russia off the front pages."
"Because the Democrats and the left are really controlling the message on this and . . . there's not one ounce of evidence out there. It's the Democrats looking for a crime they just can't seem to find?"

Three investigations are now in play, all probing whether there was collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia to influence the 2016 presidential election.
Reagan also weighed in on Trump's decision to reportedly leave the Paris climate agreement, a worldwide effort to curb global warming.
"There's going to be a huge backlash from those 200 countries that signed on to it, [but] those 200 countries are only looking for dollars from the United States of America," he told Tucker.
"Donald Trump ran on putting America back to work, and there's nothing in the Paris climate change accord that is going to bring jobs to the United States of America. If any country is doing anything right now to, in fact, reduce carbon emissions, it is the United States of America.
"I mean just through fracking alone we've reduced it 2 percent in the last year. So, we're already going down that road without signing on to any accord."
