Michael Reagan Calls Anti-Trump Letter From GOP Officials 'Silly'

By    |   Monday, 08 Aug 2016 10:26 PM

Conservative commentator Michael Reagan blasted the GOP national security officials who signed a letter opposing Donald Trump, telling Newsmax TV the letter was "silly."

"Nobody who's elected president has all of the knowledge," Reagan told host J.D. Hayworth during an appearance on "Newsmax Prime."

"What you hope for when you elect a president is that they're smart enough to put the right people around them to make the right decisions at that level of government. It's a silly letter. These people are all gonna elect Hillary. They're not happy for whatever reason."

Reagan added that another member of the anti-Trump crowd, former CIA operative Evan McMullen, is not actually running for president even though he announced his candidacy as an independent Monday.

"He's not running for president. He's running to elect Hillary Clinton as the president of the United States of America," Reagan said. "That is why he is running. If you think Donald Trump's a narcissist, this guy has it in spades."
