Former Attorney General Michael Mukasey told Newsmax TV on Friday that former FBI Director James Comey's Senate testimony was "quite clear" that President Donald Trump did not obstruct justice regarding the Michael Flynn investigation.
"It's quite clear from Comey's testimony, even if you accept the facts as he portrays them, that there was no crime here," Mukasey, 75, who served under former President George W. Bush, told Steve Malzberg on Newsmax TV. "Certainly, there was no obstruction."

"The president was, of course, accurate when he said that Comey had told him not once but more than once that he — the president — was not under investigation.
"To that extent, it's certainly consistent with what the president's been saying," Mukasey, also a former federal district court judge in New York, told Malzberg. "All that is not a surprise to me."
