Special counsel John Durham's delay of reporting on the investigation of the investigators ostensibly "had a profound effect" on this presidential election, according to Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, on Newsmax TV.
"Justice delayed is justice denied, and in this case, it's an election that has been denied, a free and fair one anyway," Gohmert told "Saturday Report."
"What concerns me most if the Justice Department has not been handling it in a way that has brought people to justice," he added to, pointing criticism of the delayed release of findings from the Durham investigation.
"For one thing, we should have had a Durham report six months ago," Gohmert told host Rob Fennerty. "And, as I've said since June, every day that Durham delayed in bringing forth indictments was another day he was having a profound effect on this election."
Gohmert added "it's too late for that."
"But if he came through with indictments, it's too late to affect the votes, but it would help show the public that there was wrongdoing by the very people that are now claiming that their people should president," he said. "The Biden family was involved. People need to know what's gone on and have the official informata of the Justice Department."
Gohmert noted Attorney General William Barr "has allowed that to gone on with nothing to show for it."
"So the Justice Department have to get off their butts and get people prosecuted who have committed real crimes that have affected this country on a level we have never seen politically," Gohmert concluded.
