Larry Klayman to Newsmax TV: 'Cowardly' Sessions Should Resign

By    |   Friday, 24 August 2018 04:32 PM

Freedom Watch founder Larry Klayman ripped Attorney General Jeff Sessions to shreds in an interview with Newsmax TV, calling him "cowardly" and claiming he is working for the "Deep State."

During an appearance on "America Talks Live," Klayman spent several minutes ripping the nation's top prosecutor.

"Sessions is not long for this world, he's gonna be forced to resign — I predict, within a week. That's my guess," Klayman said.

Klayman went on to allege that Sessions and his entire Department of Justice are working with special counsel Robert Mueller, whose team is investigating whether the Trump campaign colluded with the Russians.

"The reality is, I think Sessions now wants to see the president impeached. He sees the president as a threat to him," Klayman said.

"I believe that this entire Justice Department is working with Mueller to get the president, at a minimum, impeached. I believe it. It's the deep state."

Sessions, Klayman said, should resign from his post immediately.

"If Sessions was a patriot, if he's got one ounce of patriotism in his entire cowardly body, he should step down right now," Klayman said.

Sessions and Trump have repeatedly clashed over the Russia investigation. Sessions irked Trump by recusing himself from the probe because of the role he played on the campaign. This week, they had a war of words via an interview, a statement and tweets, although counselor to the president Kellyanne Conway confirmed Thursday night that Trump and Sessions met about an unrelated topic at the White House Thursday.

Klayman alleged that the FBI likely has dirt on Sessions because he was captured on phone conversations when he was at Trump Tower during the Trump transition.

"He's probably being blackmailed … The guy can't be attorney general. If he believes in this country, if he believes in justice, he would quit now," Klayman said.
