W.Va. AG to Newsmax: We Must Get to Bottom of Jan. 6

By    |   Monday, 20 November 2023 07:09 PM EST

West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey told Newsmax, following the release of the Jan. 6 footage, that we must get to the bottom of what transpired that day.

"This is important," Morrisey tells "The Chris Salcedo Show" on Speaker Mike Johnson's decision to release all the Jan. 6 footage.

"The American public deserves to have the information so that they can process it, and they can reach their own judgments. Because what you did is you had a committee that was really jaded from the very beginning to come up with a pre-baked narrative about everything that happened, and I think that's just reckless."

"And obviously," Morrisey continues, "as we begin to find out the people that were purposely lying to the American public about all of this, we need to call them out for that because these are not trustworthy people, and they've been perpetuating a false news narrative for a very long time."

On Friday, Johnson announced that all surveillance footage of the Jan. 6 Capitol riot will be immediately available to the public online here.
