Larry Kawa: Obama Never Asked Defense Dept. for ISIS Strategy

By    |   Friday, 07 Nov 2014 11:39 AM

Before President Barack Obama took to the airwaves in August to tell the American people that he had no strategy to combat the Islamic State (ISIS), the White House had no communications with the Defense Department about a plan to deal with the  terror group, according to Larry Kawa, president of the American Courage PAC.

Kawa appeared on "America’s Forum" on Newsmax TV to discuss a Freedom of Information Act request he sent asking what specific information or communications existed between the White House and the Department of Defense on an ISIS strategy before that speech.

"They came back to me and sent me a response that said there were no communications between the White House and the Department of Defense," Kawa said. "The president said the reason he didn't bring this issue to Congress was because the Department of Defense did not give him any options or direction to go with and he was waiting to hear back from their predicated previous conversations.

"Surprise, there were no previous conversations. He never had any conversations with anyone at the Department of Defense."
