Judicial Watch's Fitton: Reopen Hillary Email Investigation

Newsmax TV's "America Talks Live"

A new investigation should be launched into Hillary Clinton's use of a private server as secretary of state now that a set of new emails have been uncovered, Tom Fitton, president of the government watchdog, told Newsmax TV.

"These are emails that we didn't know about before," Fitton told host Bill Tucker on Monday's "America Talks Live." "Mrs. Clinton said she turned them all over. Obviously she didn't, so we should be questioning whether she was telling the truth under oath to Congress.

"These are emails showing, again, more classified information being mishandled by Hillary Clinton. Now, the Clinton people will say, 'Well, it wasn't marked at the time as classified.'

"Well that isn't the standard, the standard is, is it classified or not? And someone like Mrs. Clinton is supposed to know the difference because she is a senior official."

Last week, Judicial Watch released 2,078 pages of documents revealing more instances of Clinton sending and receiving classified information via an unsecured email server.

They also show Clinton's daughter Chelsea and others involved with the Clinton Foundation receiving special favors from Huma Abedin, the former secretary's deputy chief of staff, Judicial Watch said.

"She was warned about using her Blackberry, for instance, to receive and communicate information, yet she did it anyway," Fitton told Tucker. "We've got the documents showing it.

"And my view is all this material shows why we need to relitigate or reinvestigate, go back and have the Justice Department audit what went on with the prior administration in terms of their cover-up for Hillary Clinton."

Fitton is the author of "Clean House: Exposing Our Government’s Secrets and Lies," published by Threshold Editions.
