The "real concern" of the Israeli people is that the Israeli Defense Force finishes the job of destroying the tunnel system it discovered that Hamas was building to attack the Jewish state, says foreign correspondent and author L. Todd Wood.
"They know that if the tunnels aren’t all destroyed, if Hamas is left with a decent degree of military capability that this is all going to happen again, so they would prefer that the Israeli military, the IDF, go in and finish the job," Wood told Ed Berliner on "MidPoint" on
Newsmax TV Tuesday from Jerusalem.

"They say they have destroyed 32 of the tunnels, they don’t know if they’ve got them all," he explained.
"That’s very concerning to people living near the Gaza strip and living near the West Bank where there’s been violence," he added.
Wood said that the Israelis don't like that Palestinian civilians have been killed as the result of Israeli strikes, "but they don't feel it's their fault."
"When you lob thousands of high powered rockets into populated areas, as Hamas has done, I mean that is a war crime," he contends.
"You don’t hear the international press calling it a war crime, but it is," he added.
