Conservative author David Horowitz told Newsmax TV on Wednesday that most major news outlets are distorting coverage of the riots engulfing several major cities in the wake of a Minneapolis man’s death in police custody.
Horowitz predicted in his latest book, "BLITZ: Trump Will Smash the Left and Win" – released this week, that race would be a major issue in the campaign and used by the Democrats as a way of smearing Trump to help Biden win in the November election. He explained the claim on “The Chris Salcedo Show.”
“If you’re black, you get away with murder in this country,” Horowitz said. “You have all the media, MSNBC, CNN, The Washington Post, The New York Times, all cheering on the looters and the rioters and claiming that a mob in front of the White House is somehow peaceful.
“They burned the church across from the White House. The only reason they didn’t jump the fence and set fire to the White House, is because (President Donald) Trump put pressure on the Democrat mayor to finally put up a significant number of National Guard. People can see that.”
Horowitz referred to the riots that have erupted in several major cities since George Floyd died after a widely circulated video showed him being restrained face down by a white police officer, who was seen with his knee on Floyd’s neck.
The four officers involved in the arrest have been fired, including the cop seen in the video who has been charged in the death.
Horowitz called “Blitz” a "guide to the disaster that has struck the Democratic Party.
“It’s a racist party. It’s a party that weaponizes race to elect its candidates. Every city in America where you have these riots, is controlled 100% by Democrats. Minneapolis, any injustice in Minneapolis, Democrats own.”
