The Obama administration is considering giving minors coming to the United States from Honduras
refugee status, and conservative commentator Michael Reagan says President Barack Obama should address the plight of American children before helping these migrant kids.
"The president of the United States is so off the page on these things," Reagan told John Bachman and Morgan Thompson on "America's Forum" on
Newsmax TV on Friday.
"I mean there's 400,000 children in America taken out of their homes because they're neglected and abused every single year," he explained.
"Don't deal with them," Reagan said sarcastically. "Let's give refugee status to everybody else."

The son of former President Ronald Reagan said that the other problem with the proposal is that Obama is "just asking for more of an invasion coming to our southern borders in this country," while we're already struggling to handle the migrant kids that have already come.
"What are we going to do with all of these children?" Reagan asked.
"I mean you've got, what, 30,000 families who have already come in and tried to apply, 16,000 children at this point in time," he added. "And the president refuses to shut the spigot off."
