Freedom Watch founder Larry Klayman welcomed reports Wednesday that President Donald Trump was adding Clinton impeachment lawyer Emmet Flood to his personal legal team for the retiring Ty Cobb, telling Newsmax TV: "I hope this guy's better."
"So far, the legal team has done quite poorly," Klayman, a former federal prosecutor, told host Miranda Khan on "America Talks Live."
"The president has been painted into a corner right now — and he needs to take some strong action to fight his way out.
"The president understands reality," Klayman later added. "This is what I love about the guy. He doesn't hold back.
"Unfortunately, his lawyers have held back up to this point in time. He can't worry about appearances.
"He didn't engage in Russian collusion," Klayman said. "He didn't engage in obstruction of justice.
"Robert Mueller is a political hack, in my opinion, who's doing the bidding of the establishments of both political parties in Washington, D.C., that both support him."

Klayman pointed out both Attorney General Jeff Sessions and his No. 2, Rod Rosenstein, should not be involved in the Russia investigation.
"You've got Rosenstein over at the Justice Department, who is conflicted," he said. "He should be out of this case, based on his involvement with the Steele dossier and everything else."
Sessions recused himself from the Moscow probe last year — and he was interviewed by Mueller's investigators in January.
"He's worthless," Klayman said of the attorney general.
"The president did what needs to be done.
"It's clear the Democrats want to have impeachment articles introduced if they take control of Congress," he added. "They want to follow through with that.
"He has to face reality," Klayman said of Trump, "and he needs to start pushing back."
