James Hubbard, a physician and expert on survival medicine, told "MidPoint" host Ed Berliner on
Newsmax TV Friday that ZMapp, the experimental drug given to a pair of American aid workers stricken with Ebola, is probably not the only reason the two survived.
"I suspect it helped some," said Hubbard, adding, "It's certainly not a miracle cure."

Hubbard, who writes at thesurvivaldoctor.com, said that first-rate care in the United States also probably helped the patients' own immune systems fight off a virus that has killed hundreds in Africa in the latest outbreak.
"Time will tell" whether ZMapp works under more than limited circumstances, he said.
Beyond its use in a handful of cases, "It really hasn't been tested," said Hubbard.
