Filmmaker: US-Canada Border Less Secure Than US-Mexico

The unending flow of illegal aliens into the U.S. from Mexico is staggering, but the nation's Canadian border is even less secure — and easier for terrorists to cross, acclaimed documentary filmmaker and activist Dennis Michael Lynch says.

The first two parts of Lynch's highly praised trilogy — "They Come to America - The Cost of Illegal Immigration" — will air on Newsmax TV on Saturday at 8 p.m. ET. And Lynch is now releasing a third installment.

"Most of the time I have spent has been on the southern border, but a good portion of [Part 3] is on the northern border, which scares the bejesus out of me," Lynch said Thursday on "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.

"The southern border is wide open as we know and everything's coming through, but we're trying to defend it. The thing about the northern border is … it's wide open.

"It's an hour and a half away to New York from Montreal and two hours away from Ottawa. There are more terror networks operating in Canada than in Mexico."

Lynch said that, incredibly, there are border patrol stations, along the northern border, which are now closed down.

"There are roads that go from Canada to New York, nobody is there. We have a scene that is almost comical to where we're sitting there knocking on an old border patrol station and nobody is there," he said.

"When you speak to the Canadian people about it, too, they say there's nobody on our side, either … [So] there's no border patrol on our side and there's nobody on the other side."

The first two parts of Lynch's film airing Newmax TV focus on the untold price America pays for the unending flow of illegal immigrants across its borders.

Instead of presenting just facts and figures, Lynch zeroes in on the human costs of the problem. At the U.S.-Mexican border, his cameras recorded some of the most heart-wrenching stories to come out of America's immigration disaster.

Several distributors have been afraid to touch the bipartisan movie because of its controversial content. But it will air on Newsmax TV, complete and uncut.

Newsmax TV is available on DirecTV Channel 349, Dish Network Channel 223 and Verizon FiOS 115, via OTT devices, and as a free app on iPhone (iOS), Android and other smartphones, and at NewsmaxTV.com.
