Democrats will try to "poison the political waters" during President-elect Donald Trump's tenure in the White House, but the strategy is destined to fail, according to his senior economic adviser Larry Kudlow.
Democrats lost the election "because they don't have a pro-growth message, they don't have a conciliatory unifying message, they don't have the jobs message, they don't have a reform message," Kudlow, who is being considered for appointment to the Council of Economic Advisers, told Newsmax TV's "The Steve Malzberg Show."
"The Democrats are going to poison the political waters at every step of the way," he said, adding, "There's a whole new era coming and the Democrats . . . think political poison is going to work. I'm here to tell you it will backfire."

Kudlow argued the current bull market is already "predicting prosperity."
"There will be corrections along the way," he said, but said the market is going to be a "powerful" one that is not "artificially assisted by the Fed's 'easy money,' but one that is characterized by new business gusto, new business spirits and a great desire to succeed."
Kudlow also said the market "worries a lot" about terror attacks like those that have plagued Europe, but with Trump's new national security team, there is a different view on Wall Street.
"We're going to see a new strategy – we are going to see a strategy to destroy ISIS," he said. "Our enemies, the radical Islamists are going to see U.S. strength and unity for the first time in a long while. So I wouldn't say the market is ignoring this very serious stuff but I think you're going to see an entirely different military and diplomatic strategy."
