Conservatives are too polite and need to employ the same in-your-face tactics as the far-left to get their message across, according to David Horowitz, founder of The David Horowitz Freedom Center and editor of FrontPage Magazine.
"[Conservatives have] been brought up too well … I think I was sent as a former radical to conservatives to teach them bad manners," Horowitz told "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.

"Conservatives come out of business environments, they're brought to protect their reputations which are really important, not to get into a pissing contest with a skunk.
"They deplore the methods of the left and, by the left, I mean Democrats. They are the left now."
Horowitz, who has launched
TruthRevolt.org, which holds accountable high-profile members of the media, said he believes the tea party is helping conservatives revitalize.
But he warned conservatives to pick and choose their battles carefully.
"Conservatives, if you're building a business, you don't want to make enemies. You want to build your customer base. So you don't want to get into controversies, and that mentality is very deep seeded in the conservative right," Horowitz said.
"They don't understand they're in a street fight with gangsters and thugs and you don't have to become the left to use some of the tactics that they use. I've called it fighting fire with fire. That's what we have to do."
The David Horowitz Freedom Center says it is "dedicated to the defense of free societies whose moral, cultural and economic foundations are under attack by enemies both secular and religious, at home and abroad."
