Radio Host Curtis Sliwa: Giuliani Loyal to Trump, Make Him Secretary of State

Rudy Giuliani's loyalty to President-elect Donald Trump should mean he gets the nod to be secretary of state, radio host Curtis Sliwa told Newsmax TV.

Giuliani proved he should have a spot in Trump's administration, Sliwa told Thursday's "Newsmax Prime" host J.D. Hayworth.

"You mentioned a host of individuals who I remember on Oct. 7 at 3:00 in the afternoon when the Billy Bush tapes were dropped and everybody was running for cover," said Sliwa, the founder and CEO of The Guardian Angels.

"In fact, many of these same people you mentioned were talking about, 'Oh, you should resign, remove yourself, let [Vice President-elect Mike] Pence run the rest of the way.' In fact, the scarecrow Pence was missing in action.

"Everybody abandoned ship except for Rudy Giuliani. How do you reward loyalty? He was the last man standing . . . So, you reward Rudy, and Rudy, he knows his geopolitical business. Now, he slightly ditched, he's a little insane in the brain of late, but it's exactly the kind of guy who would be a perfect match for the other guy who's a little insane in the brain, our President-elect Donald Trump."

Giuliani is one of four people in line to be America's top diplomat in Trump's administration. Another name is former Massachusetts Gov. and 2012 presidential nominee Mitt Romney, who famously opposed Trump during his run for president. Romney has shifted gears, at least publicly, and praised Trump this week.

Critics, however, say Romney disqualified himself from working for Trump with his past comments.
