Rep. Ben Cline to Newsmax: Voters Angry DirecTV Dropped Newsmax

By    |   Thursday, 02 February 2023 11:23 AM EST

Rep. Ben Cline, R-Va., told Newsmax that his constituents are "furious" over the decision by AT&T/DirecTV to drop Newsmax.

Cline made his remarks on Thursday's "National Report."

"My constituents are furious because they rely on Newsmax for information that cuts through all the woke rhetoric to actually provide people in the Shenandoah and Roanoke valleys with facts and not a spin in a liberal direction. So, they're so upset at losing [Newsmax], they've been calling my office."

Cline said he's heard from other House members that they too are hearing from voters about the decision to drop Newsmax.

"I have heard from other members of the Judiciary Committee that they're hearing from their constituents, as well," he said.

His comments come in the wake of AT&T/DirecTV's deplatforming of Newsmax from 13 million subscriber homes last week, the second time the service removed a conservative channel in the past year.

Actions to Take Now

1. DirecTV customers call toll free at 877-763-9762 to cancel/complain.

2. AT&T customers call toll free at 888-855-2338 to cancel/complain for U-verse, cellular and wireless services.

3. Call your congressman or senator at 202-224-3121 and demand they stop AT&T/DirecTV's censorship of NEWSMAX — ask them to give you a date on the hearings!
