Mystery shrouds exactly what happened to the body of U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens in the immediate aftermath of the attack in Benghazi, says Aaron Klein, Jerusalem bureau chief and senior staff reporter for WorldNetDaily.
Stevens, one of four Americans killed in the terror attack on the U.S. compound in Libya, officially died of smoke inhalation from fiery explosions that occurred at the American diplomatic compound in Libya on Sept. 11th, 2012.
But Klein — author of the new book,
"The REAL Benghazi Story: What the White House and Hillary Don't Want You to Know," published by WND Books — told "The Steve Malzberg Show" on
Newsmax TV Thursday that there's more to the story that has still not been released.

"I cite information that indicates, strongly indicates that Ambassador Stevens, his body at least for a period of time, was held hostage by rebels and that there was some sort of tradeoff," Klein said.
"There are so many gaps in the State Department timeline ultimately of what happened. So I believe and I cite a lot of information that his body was held hostage and that raises the larger question of what did we give to rebels?"
