Blaine Holt, former military adviser to NATO, told Newsmax on Monday that the military equipment being sent to Ukraine "can make a heck of a difference" in the ongoing war with Russia.
Appearing on "Wake Up America," Holt said that the Bradley Fighting Vehicle, an armored vehicle platform used by the military that the U.S. is sending to Ukraine, "is a significant uptick," noting that "the Bradleys are very much needed" and "can be put to very good use. It doesn't take a lot of training time to get into the Bradleys."
Holt added: "There's other armaments coming from France and Germany, is my understanding. If those actually show up, they can make a heck of a difference on that border where the Wagner group is now getting resupplied as well."
Russia is deploying the mercenary group in Ukraine.
He also noted that House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., will need to "sort out rhetoric from what the true need is in Ukraine."
Holt continued: "But I hope what happens is that the speaker recognizes our responsibilities for stability in Europe, but demands transparency and accountability to the amount of resources, where they're going, who they're benefiting. Because I think when we roll that back, we're going to find out it's a very, very muddy puddle to kind of sort through."
Holt added: "We want to know that the stuff that we're bringing to Ukraine doesn't imperil our own readiness and at the same time efficiently helps the Ukrainians in their fight for freedom."
