Despite the chilling nuclear rhetoric being volleyed by North Korea strongman Kim Jong Un at the United States, Billy O'Reilly told Newsmax TV he doesn't believe President Donald Trump will make a pre-emptive strike on the saber-rattling nation.
The reason: such a move would trigger "out of control" consequences for the entire world.
"No, I don't think that is ever going to happen, because the implications are world-wide depression, chaos everywhere," the veteran newsman and bestselling author of "Killing England: The Brutal Struggle for American Independence," said to John Bachman on "Newsmax Now."
"China off its game, Russia off its game. The unintended consequences of that would just be spiraling out of control."

O'Reilly's remarks came as former CIA Director R. James Woolsey warned that North Korea already has the ability to use a satellite to strike the U.S. — an attack he thinks could wipe out 90 percent of the U.S. population within a year.
In an exclusive interview with Newsmax on Thursday, Woolsey said the U.S. is closer to war with North Korea than at any time he can remember and cautioned that the intense focus on North Korea's ICBM program may be a mistake. The real threat, he said, may well come from satellites traveling on a southern trajectory that would barely be detectable until they are over the continental U.S.
O'Reilly isn't convinced.
"I'm not sure I agree with James Woolsey on the efficiency of the North Korean technological system," O'Reilly told Bachman.
