A hidden-camera video depicting Planned Parenthood officials dryly discussing "intact fetuses" and the organization's "revenue stream" masks the "butchery" and "barbarism" committed on the remains of "preborn infants," former New York Lt. Gov. Betsy McCaughey tells Newsmax TV.

In a panel discussion Tuesday on "Newsmax Prime" with J.D. Hayworth and Miranda Khan, McCaughey says Democrats' unblinking support of the family planning group illustrates "the extremist position that the … party is now occupying."

"Whether you are pro-life or pro-choice —  and there are reasonable people on both sides of that issue —  no reasonable person would listen to these videos, absorb the information that this organization is selling the body parts of preborn infants and go along with it," she said."This has nothing to do with a woman's right to choose. This is barbarism. This is butchery."

Political commentator Dick Morris said Democrats are "scared to death of this issue."

"The process of dehumanization and commoditization of the human being just continues and grows, and it's absolutely revolting," Morris said. "And it's indicative of the extent to which the Democrats are absolute slaves to these interest groups that they would go ahead and sanction this."

Morris added the "extremes of this issue ultimately pollute the moderate views," and will undoubtedly affect congressional races next year, noting the "extremist position" of Indiana GOP Senate candidate Richard Mourdock in 2012 "ended up characterizing the whole pro-life movement."

"The body part issue on Planned Parenthood will be the reciprocal mirror image of that and will end up characterizing the whole pro-choice movement," Morris predicted.

"This could become a new form of human agriculture where you grow fetuses in order to kill them and sell the body parts… and when people begin to contemplate where this could lead to, they're going to have a fit and it will characterize even the moderate pro-choice people in a bad light."

McCaughey argued even the language of the debate must change.

"We have to ensure that our language keeps up with the science and not let the Democrats get away with calling these fetuses," she said. "These are preborn infants and that's what they should be called. Many of them are viable and to call them fetuses or anything else rather than a preborn infant just masks what we now scientifically know: these infants are viable at a much earlier age than we knew when Roe v. Wade was decided almost four decades ago."

Morris emphasized the issue is certainly not the same as the use of discarded embryos for stem cell research.

"Here … you're talking about a real live baby that is just not born yet and you're talking about harvesting it for human parts," he said. "This is just beyond any science fiction story."
