Scaramucci: Trump Tax Cuts 'Dramatically' Help Americans

(Newsmax TV's "Newsmax Now")

Former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci told Newsmax TV on Tuesday that President Donald Trump's tax-cut plan was "dramatically" benefitting "a large cross section of the American people."

"One thing people are saying is that a lot of it went to corporations," Scaramucci told "Newsmax Now" host John Bachman. "What a lot of people are forgetting is that corporations are actually people."

He noted the estimated $268 billion in cuts slated for corporations would allow them to "download it in terms of dividends, share repurchases, additional jobs and additional capital investment."

With such cuts, "you've just opened up America for business," Scaramucci said.

"Businesses large and small from across the world now feel that America is competitive. They can move plants and equipment here."

He cautioned, however, the gains might not be enough to aid Republicans in the midterm elections.

"Will there be enough of that for the midterm elections?" Scaramucci posed to Bachman. "I'm not sure. The jury's out on that.

"We'll have to see what happens as we get into September and October and parse through that economic data."
