Attorney General William Barr’s summary of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report was “like having your brother summarize your report card to your parents,” former Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacy Abrams said on Monday and posted as a tweet.
Abrams, speaking at event in Los Angeles promoting her new book, "Lead from the Outside," said the full report should be released, emphasizing that “We should be deeply suspicious” of the summary, The Hill reported.
Abrams called Barr an “avowed partisan who in part auditioned for the job by disparaging the report.”
She compared it to her gubernatorial race last year against Georgia’s then-Secretary of State Brian Kemp, saying “As someone who has a recent experience of having the referee being in charge of the score-keeping and being the contestant, I am always suspect of a process that does not have independence.”
Abrams also commented on rumors that former Vice President Joe Biden is considering her as a 2020 running mate following a lunch they had together, saying it is “pure speculation made up by somebody else.”
