A government contractor is coming under fire for wage theft at several Obamacare call center locations.

The Communications Workers of America (CWA) union has filed multiple wage complaints with the Department of Labor that accuse General Dynamics Information Technology of underpaying workers at the call centers.

The complaints encompass nine of the company's 11 call centers, which consumers can contact with questions about signing up for health insurance under the Affordable Care Act, Medicare, and other related topics.

"These complaints provide further evidence that thousands of workers at a majority of GDIT call centers across the nation are systemically underpaid," CWA president Chris Shelton said. "That's why we are calling on the Department of Labor to conduct an enterprise-wide investigation at GDIT."

The Hill first reported on the story.

"I'm tired of just surviving, of making tough decisions like which bills to pay and which bills to delay," said Roy Wingfield, a call center agent in London, Kentucky. "General Dynamics needs to stop underpaying us. I'd like not to live paycheck to paycheck."

General Dynamics Information Technology has roughly 10,000 employees at its Obamacare call centers. The CWA estimates workers could be owed more than $100 million in wages.
