VoteVets wants Joe Biden to select Sen. Tammy Duckworth, D-Ill., to serve as his vice president.

The liberal political action committee, which works to help veterans get elected, released a video Monday praising the Democrat lawmaker from Illinois.

"Tammy's tough, and will take it to the coward in chief," the video's narrator states, over footage of President Trump stating he "always wanted to get the Purple Heart," as well as footage of Duckworth calling Trump "cadet Bonespurs" and a "five-deferment draft-dodger."

Duckworth served in the U.S. Army as a helicopter pilot in Iraq. She lost both of her legs in 2004 after her helicopter was shot down. She is the first disabled woman elected to the Senate. The video praises her military career and dedication to public service.

The video states Duckworth "opens doors to new voters," referencing her victory in the Midwest in 2016.

"Tammy Duckworth is the American dream, and knows how to land a punch," the ad says, over a clip of her predecessor, Sen. Mark Kirk, R-Ill., mocking her in a 2016 debate for stating her ancestors fought in the American Revolution, saying "I had forgotten that your parents came all the way from Thailand to serve George Washington."

"Mike Pence won't know what hit him," the narrator says.

Duckworth recently joined Biden in a video chat announcing his disability policy plan, The Hill reports. She praised the campaign for proposing "full inclusion of people with disabilities in policy development."
