Rocker Stevie Van Zandt has called out the cast of "Hamilton: An American Musical" for "bullying" Vice President-elect Mike Pence who attended their Friday night show.

In a series of tweets, the mug-faced guitarist and a member of Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band told the cast it was "unfair" to single out Pence and warn him that the nation is "alarmed and anxious" and the upcoming Trump administration "will not protect us … defend us and uphold our inalienable rights."

Van Zandt, an outspoken liberal also known for his role as mob tough Silvio Dante in "The Sopranos," said:

Pence was singled out at the conclusion of the smash Broadway show in New York City when cast member Brandon Victor Dixon, who plays Aaron Burr, told him:

"We have a message for you, sir. We hope that you will hear us out … Vice-president elect Mike Pence, we welcome you and truly thank you for joining us at ‘Hamilton: The American Musical.'

"We sir, we are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents, or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights, sir.

"We truly hope that this show has inspired you to uphold our American values and to work on behalf of all of us."

The gotcha moment was quickly slammed by President-elect Donald Trump, who tweeted:

On Sunday, Pence told Fox News he was not ruffled by the cast's words at the Richard Rodgers Theatre.

"I did hear what was said from the stage, and I can tell you I wasn't offended by what was said. I'll leave to others whether that was the appropriate venue to say it," Pence said. "I nudged my kids and reminded them that's what freedom sounds like."
