Former President Donald Trump is planning his first visit to New York City since leaving the White House earlier this year, the New York Post reported.

Security is being ramped up for his visit, which might come as soon as Sunday, per the report.

After the president left office, the Trump Tower Secret Service security had been reduced, but now the barricades are returning and the parking is being restricted, the Post noted.

Trump used to call the city home, before multiple investigations led him to declare Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, his new home during his presidency.

"I hereby declare that my above-described residence and abode in the State of Florida constitutes my predominant and principal home, and I intend to continue it permanently as such," Trump documents read about the permanent homestead change.
