President Donald Trump continued to draw attention to illegal immigration, sending out two more tweets on the issue Wednesday morning.

“For those who want and advocate for illegal immigration, just take a good look at what has happened to Europe over the last 5 years,” the president wrote in a tweet. “A total mess! They only wish they had that decision to make over again.”

A few minutes later Trump sent out another message on Twitter, saying “We are a great Sovereign Nation. We have Strong Borders and will never accept people coming into our Country illegally!”

Trump has been harping on the issue of illegal immigration on a regular basis as he holds rallies across the nation to support Republicans running in the midterm elections.

He has particularly drawn attention to a caravan of some 7,000 migrants from Central America which is currently in Mexico heading towards the U.S. border in hopes of entering the country.

After stoking fears for days that there were potential terrorists in the caravan by saying, without proof, that it included people from Middle Eastern countries, Trump admitted on Tuesday that he has not seen any such evidence, The Hill reported.

There was "no proof of anything," Trump said when pressed over his statements that people from the Middle East are among those traveling in the migrant caravan before adding that "there very well could be."
