Donald Trump's camp is continuing to deny that campaign manager Corey Lewandowski grabbed a Breitbart News reporter by the arm following a press conference Tuesday night, but the writer, Michelle Fields, is standing her ground and has filed a criminal complaint in Florida against him.

"The accusation, which has only been made in the media and never addressed directly with the campaign, is entirely false," Trump campaign spokesperson Hope Hicks said in a statement Friday morning, reports ABC News

"As one of the dozens of individuals present as Mr. Trump exited the press conference, I did not witness any encounter. In addition to our staff, which had no knowledge of said situation, not a single camera or reporter of more than 100 in attendance captured the alleged incident."

Hicks also said in her statement that Fields nor Washington Post reporter Ben Terris, who identified Lewandowski as the person who had grabbed her by the arm, had never met him, and that their staff  "would never do anything to harm another individual."

Fields, though, after tweeting a photo of her bruised arm Thursday, has filed a police report against Lewandowski in Jupiter, Florida, reports Independent Journal Review, which was confirmed by the police department while releasing few details.

Meanwhile, Breitbart News, after asking for an apology earlier this week if it turned out to be Lewandowski that grabbed their reporter, ran an extensive article on Friday to show that Terris' report of the incident could not possibly have happened as he reported it.

As Trump campaign spokesperson Katrina Pierson said Thursday on the Fox Business Network, "someone probably did grab her," i.e. Fields, though Pierson claimed it could not have been Lewandowski.

Terris had reported that after Fields was grabbed, he "watched as a man with short-cropped hair and a suit grabbed her arm and yanked her out of the way. He was Corey Lewandowski, Trump's 41-year-old campaign manager."

But, Breitbart reported that Lewandowski was not the only man by that description, and  Lewandowski was was walking on the opposite side of Trump from Fields and Terris, and showed a Washington Post photograph taken seconds before the altercation that shows two men by that description.

"In fact, a review of live news feeds — CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, and C-SPAN — reveals that all had their cameras focused on Trump at the time. All cut away before the incident — in CNN's case, mere seconds before — but all could have recorded the altercation, and presumably did," reports Breitbart.

Terris, meanwhile, told the post's Erik Wemple Friday that he was not mistaken when he identified Lewandowski as the person who grabbed Fields.

"I saw what I saw," said Terris, saying he had his "eyes trained on Corey Lewandowski," because Terris was there to profile the campaign team with a focus on him.

Hicks told the blog, though, that "we are vindicated and we look forward to receiving an apology from your publication and your reporter, Ben Terris."

Trump himself on Thursday night said that "nothing happened. This was, in my opinion, made up," and Hicks said that was because he'd been asked about an "incident involving Corey. There was no incident involving Corey."

The Daily Beast, meanwhile is reporting unnamed sources who claim Lewandowski told Brietbart News's Matthew Boyle that he did grab Fields, but that was because he had never met her before and "he didn't recognize her as a Breitbart reporter, instead mistaking her for an adversarial member of the mainstream media."

Lewandowski squared off Thursday night against the accusations, tweeting that she is  "delusional" and adding links from a conservative website to back up his claim:

He then added links to two stories from GotNews.com, which slammed Fields and said she made up the claims to promote an upcoming book:

Fields and her boyfriend, Daily Caller senior editor Jamie Weinstein, meanwhile, retorted to Lewandowski and dared him to take a lie detector test:

Weinstein also called Lewandowski out earlier this week on Twitter:

Fields, at first, had refused to comment about the alleged incident, but is now granting interviews, including telling ABC's Tom Llamas that Trump "should imagine if I was his daughter."
