President Donald Trump condemned the "brutality" of the North Korean regime in light of the death of American Otto Warmbier.

Warmbier, an American college student, was held prisoner by North Korea for more than 17 months before being returned to the U.S. unconscious and unresponsive last week. He died on Monday.

Trump took to Twitter to comment on Warmbier's treatment in North Korea.

He linked to a Fox Business video, where he further condemned North Korea.

"What happened to Otto is a disgrace," Trump said. "He should have been brought home a long time ago."

It's a total disgrace what happened to Otto (Warmbier.) That should never, ever be allowed to happen.....
