Former Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price has reimbursed the government almost $60,000 for using private jets during his time in the Cabinet last year.

ABC News, cited a letter sent to the House Oversight Committee last November — which was publicly released this week — that confirmed Price wrote the Treasury Department three checks.

"The Department of the Treasury has received three checks from Mr. Price in the amounts of $51,887.31, $6,013.66, and $1,489," the letter from the department reads.

"A handwritten notation on the checks indicates that they relate to certain travel expenses."

Price resigned last September after news reports claimed he spent more than $400,000 of taxpayer money to take private jets for official use while he served in the Trump administration.
