Tom Petty's widow is locked in a legal battle with the late rock legend’s daughters over the handling of his estate. Widow Dana York Petty claimed in new legal filings his two daughters from a previous marriage, Adria and Annakim Petty, are interfering with running his estate, TMZ reported.

Dana was put in charge of Tom's estate but before his death, the performer included his daughters in all decision-making processes. Now, Dana claims Adria and Annakim are conspiring against her.

She also accused them of blocking the release of solo tracks recorded by their father 25 years ago and also of lashing out at members of Tom's group, The Heartbreakers.

Dana referenced an email in which Adria addressed surviving band members, Benmont Tench and Mike Campbell.

"What I don't have the temperament for is having my entire life raped. Being disparaged. My dad being disgraced. And being surrounded by selfish, unreliable people, and drug addicts," the email read, according to TMZ.

In court documents, Dana further stated both daughters were preventing her from releasing Tom's unreleased solo tracks in a 25th-anniversary box set release to his iconic album, "Wildflowers."

Adria has hit back with her own legal filings, accusing Dana of interfering with their decisions regarding Tom's estate despite having been granted equal input. Adria further stated her father's widow was meant to transfer Tom's artistic property into a company all three women could jointly administer – something which Dana has allegedly failed to do.

Tom died in 2017 from an accidental drug overdose his family said occurred on the same day he found out his hip was broken after performing dozens of shows with a less serious injury. According to The Rolling Stone, he had taken several pain medications, including Fentanyl, oxycodone, and generic Xanax as well as a sleep aid and anti-depressant.
