Taylor Swift topped Forbes' list of the highest-paid celebrities for 2016, having raked in $170 million over the past year, and conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh cracked the Top 10 list for the first time with his $79 million.

Swift, 26, earned the top spot on the Forbes Celebrity 100 list this year based on her 1989 World Tour, which earlier shattered the touring record set by the Rolling Stones by grossing more than $200 million in North America and a quarter-billion overall, noted Forbes.

Forbes said Swift added to her lead with advertising deals from Diet Coke, Keds, and Apple. The $170 million take was the singer's best of her career, doubling her previous best of $80 million last year.

Forbes ranking covers what entertainers make from June 2015 to June 2016, said USA Today. Swift's haul beat out her singing and personal rival Katy Perry, who was last year's highest paid musician with $135 million, according to USA Today.

Boxer Floyd Mayweather, though, was Forbes' top paid celebrity last year, nabbing $300 million on the 2015 list for his "fight of the century" with Manny Pacquiao.

Others filling out the top 10 spots on the Celebrity 100 list, according to USA Today, include the band One Direction, with $110 million; author James Patterson, with $93 million; Dr. Phil McGraw, with $88 million; Portuguese soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo, with $88 million; comedian Kevin Hart, with $87.5 million; radio talk show host Howard Stern, with $85 million; Argentine soccer star Lionel Messi, with $81.5 million; and singer Adele, with $80.5 million.

Forbes pointed out that Swift's total easily beat out ex-boyfriend, deejay Calvin Harris, who earned $63 million for 21st place.

Us Weekly said reality show star Kim Kardashian reached the Celebrity 100 list, coming in at No. 42 after making $51 million, with 40 percent of that coming off her "Kim Kardashian: Hollywood" app.

The app has been downloaded more than 45 million times at $1.99 per pop, good enough for her to grace the covers of Forbes' July 26 issue, reported Us Weekly.
