Information regarding the unmasking of Trump campaign and transition members by former President Barack Obama's national security adviser, Susan Rice, is stored at the Obama Library — and will be under lock-and-key for five years, a watchdog group said Monday.
Judicial Watch said it was told about the sealed documents in a letter from the National Security Council.
The NSC told Judicial Watch it won't hand over the unmasking records, nor any intelligence community information about Russian involvement in the 2016 presidential election, Judicial Watch reported.
The president of Judicial Watch, Tom Fitton, was livid about the Obama Library storage of the material — and said he hoped special counsel Robert Mueller and Congress would look into the matter.
"Prosecutors, Congress, and the public will want to know when the National Security Council shipped off the records about potential intelligence abuses by the Susan Rice and others in the Obama White House to the memory hole of the Obama Presidential Library," he said.
"We are considering our legal options but we hope that the Special Counsel and Congress also consider their options and get these records."
