MSNBC “Live” host Stephanie Ruhle claimed her mother and father are being lied to by conservative media outlets and the White House.
“Conservative Americans like my mom and dad, who watch conservative media outlets, are being lied to by journalists, by the White House, when they’re told things like four thousand terrorists are pouring in,” she said on Tuesday.
Her on-the-air comments were reported by Mediaite.
Ruhle’s remarks came after Fox News had challenged White House press secretary Sarah Sanders on Sunday about the administration assertion that thousands of terrorists are sneaking into the country from the southern border.
“We know that roughly nearly 4,000 known or suspected terrorists come into our country illegally, and we know that our most vulnerable point of entry is southern border,” Sanders said.
But Fox News host Chris Wallace countered he’s “studied up on this” and asked Sanders she knew where they had come from.
“Not always,” Sanders responded.
But Wallace continued, “Airports. The state department says there hasn’t been any terrorists found coming across the southern border.”
