Michigan Democratic Rep. Elissa Slotkin said Friday she won't be "pushed and prodded" one way or another into making a decision before she votes to move articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump, as she wants to review all information before making her decision.

"This is going to be one of the most serious things I probably will ever vote on," Slotkin, one of 31 swing district Democrats whose votes could affect next week's House vote, told Fox News' "America's Newsroom." "So I'm going to take it seriously."

Slotkin, a former CIA officer, said she'll use this weekend to sort through the whole body of evidence and testimony in the case this weekend and then made an objective decision based on it.

"I'm not going to be jammed into making a decision when I haven't had time to really think," she said.

According to The Detroit Free Press, another Michigan Democrat, Rep. Haley Stevens, has also said she hasn't decided how to vote. Both Slotkin and Stevens flipped congressional seats last year in their suburban Detroit districts that Trump won in 2016.

Slotkin acknowledged that she's been told it will be the "end of your political career" when she came out in support of an impeachment inquiry.

"I just have to say, maybe it's because I'm a former CIA officer," she said. "I did three tours in Iraq. Sometimes you have to make calls that aren't based on a poll or on some political consultant. If this is the end of my political career at least I'm doing what I think is right and basing my decision on integrity. That's the most I can do."
