As he considers making a run for the White House, Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, is looking to meet with former President Barack Obama, Politico is reporting.

Brown’s staff is now trying to arrange time for him to get with Obama. Brown is also reaching out to fellow senators and party officials in early primary and caucus states.

Obama has already met with a number of possible Democratic presidential hopefuls, including Rep. Beto O’Rourke of Texas. Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass. and Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt.

Brown maintained he is still undecided whether he will run for president in 2020.

“Unlike most of my colleagues, I’ve not dreamed of this for years,” Brown said. “I’ve not been to New Hampshire or Iowa since 2014. ... I’ve been in Nevada once, in my ’18 race to do something for (Sen.) Catherine Cortez Masto. But I have not over the years planned this, and I’m not rushing into it, and I’m not convinced I want to do it yet.”
