Sen. Blackburn: Questions Remain After Mueller's Report

By    |   Wednesday, 27 March 2019 03:26 PM EDT

Special counsel Robert Mueller's report may clear President Donald Trump, but there are many questions about why efforts were taken to make Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton's path to the White House "straight and short and clear," Sen. Marsha Blackburn said Wednesday.

"Why did they predetermine they wanted her to be there?" the Tennessee Republican told Fox News' "America's Newsroom."  "I want to know why they never did investigate the Clinton Foundation and never went to those emails...why didn't they look at Uranium One and the Clinton Foundation?"

There seems to have been a "preferential treatment," said Blackburn, adding that the American people want to make certain that the United States is a nation of laws.

She also said she is looking forward to Attorney General William Barr's testimony before Congress and to asking him some questions.

Blackburn Wednesday also said she agrees with Trump's pivot to healthcare, and making sure that there is a look at having access to affordable healthcare for everyone.

"Quite frankly, I think it is invigorating for so many of my colleagues, for us to see this focus come back in on healthcare," said Blackburn.
