Eric Schmitt, Missouri's Republican nominee for the U.S. Senate, released his first broadcast TV ad for the 2022 election.
The ad, called "Grill Dad," runs for 30 seconds.
It starts off with Schmitt, who is Missouri's Attorney General, grilling burgers and saying: "I'm Eric Schmitt, and I'm a grill dad who flips a mean burger. But thanks to [President Joe] Biden, it now costs an arm and a leg to cook out. Ground beef is up 36%. That's crazy. Biden's inflation is taking the sizzle out of our economy and costing your family over $700 a month. In the Senate, I'll end the wasteful spending and put more money back in your pocket."
The RealClear Politics' average of polls shows Schmitt leading Democrat Trudy Busch Valentine 49% to 38%.
