White House chief of staff John Kelly is "ill-suited" for his job, former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci said Tuesday, while denying he has any "personal animosity" for the retired Marine Corps general who fired him after just 11 days on the job.
"I've been fired before," Scaramucci told Fox News' "Fox and Friends," pointing out that he wrote about that issue in his new book: "Trump, the Blue Collar President."
"Gen. Kelly is the second person that fired me. He won't be the last person because I'm a little bit of a renegade. Having said that I think he is ill-suited for the job."
To be in an organization requires a "less militant style" than Kelly brought to the White House, said Scaramucci. He added that he believes recent reports that Kelly grabbed one-time White House adviser Corey Lewandowski by the collar during an altercation, and that he recently had a profanity-laced argument with national security adviser John Bolton.
"I may not be the best communications director," said Scaramucci. "I know how to evaluate talent. You need a less militant style in a organization. You can't be grabbing people by the collar, cursing off the national security adviser."
Scaramucci also sounded off about former White House press secretary Sean Spicer, calling him "Liar Spice from the Spice Girls."
"I don't dislike Sean personally," said Scaramucci. "He is entitled to his evaluation of me. He is right in the following respect I didn't have Washington operative lying experience. Okay?"
