TBS management will reportedly have more scrutiny over Samantha Bee's show, "Full Frontal," after the firestorm over her use of a vile word to describe first daughter Ivanka Trump.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the plan entails management working with the show to prevent another incident that could drive away advertisers and draw rebukes from both ends of the political spectrum.

The network had previously given Bee virtually full creative license, THR reported, quoting an unnamed source.

The apologies from Bee and TBS came about an hour after a digital advertiser, the car marketplace Autotrader.com, pledged to cut ties with the show, THR reported. Later the same day, insurance giant State Farm also pledged to stop advertising on the show.

Bee on Wednesday night began her show by apologizing for insulting the president's daughter with a misogynistic slur. She also acknowledged that her tirade undermined her credibility as a commentator, saying her "potty-mouthed insult...distracted from more important issues," CNN reported.

President Donald Trump tweeted his displeasure at the "double standard" that cost Roseanne Barr her show after she posted a racist tweet, but allowed Bee to continue with her "low ratings show."
