Rush Limbaugh: Trump Didn't Say 'Anything Racist'

By    |   Monday, 29 July 2019 10:00 AM

President Donald Trump is "not a racist" and didn't say anything racist in his weekend Twitter attacks against Rep. Elijah Cummings and Baltimore over the weekend, but he's under attack for slamming places where Democrats are in charge, radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh maintained Monday.

"You're not supposed to criticize anything the Democrats run," Limbaugh told Fox News' "Fox and Friends."

"You're not supposed to criticize anything where minorities are involved because that is automatically labeled racist. I will tell you right up front, the president is not a racist. He didn't say anything racist. He called Cummings a racist after Cummings reacted."

Trump also on Monday slammed Rev. Al Sharpton after the civil rights leader said he was headed to Baltimore in response to Trump's attacks.

Limbaugh pointed out that in several cities, such as Flint, Michigan, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, there are "massive homeless problems" and "wherever you find this decadent decay, you're going to find Democrats having run the operation of the city, the state, whatever it is."

Meanwhile, Cummings and others have a "free ride" at Trump, and are criticizing him over the border and subpoenaing members of his family, said Limbaugh, and "won't give up on this Russia thing" because they've been trying to run him out office since his election.

"If I were him I would be fed up here," said Limbaugh. "What he is saying is the absolute truth ... this is what you get if you elect Democrats. There is to be no opposition, no pushback, no balance of power."

Democrats, he added, need people to be "unable to provide for themselves" so situations are "allowed to fester."

"The Democrats take every one of these minority groups votes for granted," said Limbaugh. "It is about time somebody pushed back against the real human misery that results from unchecked Democrat leftist control and power."
