Surveillance Video Released Showing Roger Stone's Arrest

(CBS12 WPEC)

A Florida news station that is affiliated with the conservative Sinclair Broadcast Group published surveillance video footage showing the early morning arrest of political consultant Roger Stone.

The three-minute video includes footage of the Jan. 25 arrest from several cameras. The first part shows Stone being led out in handcuffs, while the second part of the clip shows two heavily armed FBI agents with rifles standing outside the door of the Fort Lauderdale home. One of them pounded on the door and other agents were visible in the background.

Stone emerged a short time later, put his hands up, and turned around as an agent placed him in handcuffs.

The final part of the clip shows Stone's clothing: cut-off shorts, no shoes, and a t-shirt that read "Roger Stone Did Nothing Wrong."

Stone was arrested as part of special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia probe, which is looking at whether the Trump campaign colluded with Russia. Stone was charged with lying to Congress and witness tampering in regards to his alleged knowledge of leaks that were damaging to Democrat Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign.

Stone has pledged his innocence and vowed to fight the charges.
