Despite Marilyn Monroe to have been determined dead by drug overdose, "The Godfather" actor Gianni Russo, 75, claimed to the N.Y. Post the sexual icon of the 1950s was killed by a doctor paid by Bobby Kennedy.
"A guy known as The Doctor — a killer for hire and an actual MD; he had done major hits for the mob — injected air into the vein near Marilyn's pubic region," Russo told the Post. "She died of an embolism, but it looked like drugs to the coroner."
Russo insists it was not the mob who organized the hit on Monroe, but instead it was the former U.S. attorney general who was the younger brother of President John F. Kennedy. There had been rumors tying the Kennedys to affairs with Monroe and Bobby feared the story getting out.
"It had to be Bobby," Russo claimed to the Post. "No one else would kill her. The mob would not have done it. They liked her. She was that party girl. Give her a couple pills, a couple drinks and she'll f–k everyone."
Russo, in the wide-ranging interview with the Post, himself claimed to have been with Monroe, when he was 16 and she was 33 and continuing for four years.
"Marilyn was the best lover," he told the Post. "She just wanted to please you."
Before Monroe's death, according to Russo, the mob tried to set up JFK and RFK to blackmail the president and attorney general "into invading Cuba and returning the island's casinos to organized criminals," per the Post.
"They wanted to film the Kennedys in a threesome with Marilyn," Russo told the paper.
The plan failed when JFK did not show.
Both JFK and RFK were killed later by assassination.
