  • 57 percent say Republicans will be more responsible for not passing gun laws, while 18 percent said Democrats would be at fault.
  • 61 percent favor a ban on sales of assault weapons, while 35 percent oppose it.
  • 78 percent support a rule requiring gun purchasers to be 21 or older.
  • Voters are split 48 percent to 48 percent in favor and against banning the sale of all semiautomatic rifles.
  • 91 percent support banning individuals with restraining orders for domestic, sexual, or repeat violence from possessing guns, while only 6 percent oppose such a ban.
