If a survey can be reflective of a nation's citizens, a recent Zogby poll showed a majority of citizens in the U.K. were unhappy with Prime Minister Theresa May and most French citizens disliked President Emmanuel Macron, according to a report published Friday.
In addition, the poll showed that German Chancellor Angela Merkel hardly fared better, with slightly less than half of German respondents viewing her unfavorably.
The poll was conducted from online surveys taken November 3 thru 7 with over 600 citizens completing the questionnaire in each country.
May is facing the twin challenges of how best for the U.K. to exit the European Union (EU), popularly known as Brexit, and what their future financial role will be among the EU's member states.
Macron, once seen as a centrist who could bridge both parties, is struggling to deliver his message of reform, especially among adults over 50 and citizens in suburbs.
Merkel, who won re-election for the fourth time in September, is trying to maneuver how much the U.K. will pay for Brexit and EU reforms. Forty-nine percent of German respondents reported viewing her unfavorably.
