Rejecting Democratic policies in New York City and Albany, retiring Rep. Pete King, R-N.Y., warns of a mass exodus from the state and city, which is "on the verge of anarchy."

"If this keeps up, you're going to see New York City turn into ghost town," King told "The Cats Roundtable" on 970 AM-N.Y. "This cannot go on for long. As it is, you see people leaving New York, going down south, going to other parts of the country.

"I would have stayed in New York forever, and I will, but a lot of people can't afford it anymore, between the taxes and this sense of anarchy that's out there."

King pointed specifically to the bail reform that has allowed criminals back onto the streets to commit crime, leading to a rejection from even Democratic voters.

"And the no bail," King told host John Catsimatidis, "I've never seen more of a response, a negative response from good people – not people even Republican of conservative, just good, hard-working citizens who think it's a disgrace that criminals are back out on the streets.

"Absolutely disgraceful and dangerous."

King, who has announced he will not run for Congress in 2020, called out New York Democrats for causing the crime spree, tax exodus, and anarchy.

"You have people who have been released from prison," King said. "You have New York being a sanctuary city, not cooperating with federal immigration officials. Then you see the 92-year-old woman who was raped and killed. It's horrible. We're on the verge of anarchy.

"All the good work that was done by Giuliani and Bloomberg and Ray Kelly and Bill Bratton," King said of former GOP mayors Rudy Giuliani and Mike Bloomberg, in addition to those latter former NYPD commissioners.

"Where are all these politicians who would shoot their mouth off at the slightest allegation that a cop may have done the wrong thing? They [were] out there holding demonstrations and everything else.

"Now you have this going on. Where were they?

Where are people like AOC [Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y.]? They should be denouncing this. This criminal conduct is putting innocent people at risk."
